Cedar Trails Elementary
Setting a Smarter Standard
Previously operating three different controls platforms throughout the district, Cedar Springs Public Schools selected Cedar Trails Elementary as the first step toward creating a unified building automation standard. GVA installed, programmed, and commissioned 75 controllers using the Schneider Electric EcoStruxure platform with BACnet/IP technology, providing a modern foundation that could be carried forward to other district facilities. To meet the tight deadline before students returned, GVA pre-programmed controllers and developed the user interface in advance, giving the district an opportunity to review the system and provide feedback before it went live. The completed project provided Cedar Trails with an intuitive, modern controls platform while establishing the standard for future district-wide upgrades.
