A Truly Connected Workplace

Grand Valley Automation provided building automation, access control, and video surveillance systems for Dan Vos Construction’s new office building. The design-build project created a smart, connected facility that brings HVAC control, security, lighting monitoring, and critical building systems together through an integrated technology platform.

Working closely with Dan Vos and the project’s door and hardware providers, GVA engineered a coordinated solution that balanced advanced functionality with the building’s architectural design. The completed system gives Dan Vos centralized HVAC control and monitoring of lighting and standby power, along with customized access control features including two-factor authentication, threat-level lockdown capabilities, gate and intrusion control, and user-specific interfaces. GVA also incorporated thoughtful custom features, from a concealed office door release and reception door chime to strategically selected surveillance cameras with custom-painted exterior mounts, providing enhanced security without compromising the building’s finished appearance.
