Smarter Security for Care

Grand Valley Automation provided integrated security, communications, and networking systems for the Cardinal Vulcan Assisted Living Community. The project consisted of four assisted living buildings, including two facilities dedicated to enhanced memory care services, requiring reliable, easy-to-use technology solutions that support both resident safety and staff efficiency.

The Cardinal Vulcan Assisted Living Community required a comprehensive technology infrastructure that would enhance safety, communication, and daily operations while remaining simple for caregivers and administrators to manage. The client sought an integrated solution that combined access control, video surveillance, intercom communication, networking, and nurse call capabilities with minimal recurring costs and the ability to monitor and manage systems remotely from mobile devices.

Grand Valley Automation developed and implemented a complete low-voltage and security solution across all four buildings. The project included access control systems, video surveillance, intercom systems, network infrastructure, fiber optic connectivity, nurse call systems, and internet connectivity to individual resident apartments. GVA selected and integrated technologies that allowed facility staff to manage multiple building systems through a streamlined user experience while maintaining visibility into daily operations and resident safety. Startup, system commissioning, training, cable certification, and comprehensive labeling were completed to ensure long-term reliability and ease of maintenance.
